The Alexander Duckham Memorial Schools Trust

Helping RAF children in need

The Alexander Duckham Memorial Schools Trust provides financial assistance for children of members, and former members, of the RAF, who are in need. 'Children' can be of any age including adults.

The Trustees will consider applications for means tested assistance with the costs of:

  • School fees where the needs of the child cannot be fulfilled in the state system, for example due to the child’s physical or mental health, or the child’s particular sporting or artistic talents
  • Lessons for children with particular sporting or artistic talents
  • Lessons or treatment for children with physical or learning disabilities who would benefit from more support than the state provides
  • School uniform, books, school trips, musical instruments, sports or other equipment
  • Tertiary education at universities, colleges, art and drama schools and other higher education institutes
  • Daycare and pre-school education
  • Other welfare needs, e.g. holidays
